True Music

Music has been the center of my life. Early on I taught myself to read music and to play some challenging works.  Later, in college, I majored in music history and composition.  Choosing a distant vocation, music, "true music," became my primary indulgence.  Later, as a writer, I began reviewing live concerts, providing concert program notes and scholarly essays.  My writing has appeared in the Boston Music Intelligencer, New York Arts, Berkshire Review, and Hudson-Housatonic Arts. I have been published in the Raritan Review, English Literature in Transition, and in The College of St. George at Windsor Castle Christmas Concert Program Notes.
